"Bridges" Crossing the Mississippi
Gallery Show September 2- October 30, 2016
Our Fall Gallery Season begins September 2 with "Bridges" Crossing the Mississippi, a RWAA member show. This show will reflect the importance of "bridges" in our lives.
The historic object which gives a significant backdrop for this show is the Eisenhower Bridge. This Red Wing bridge connects Minnesota to Wisconsin. Soon this bridge will leave our landscape and be replaced by a new visual in our architectural geography.
People have been crossing the Mississippi for hundreds of years without bridges and these people and their ways of "crossing over" make up the larger context of this exhibit.
