"Art is in the Air"
The Red Wing Arts Association will sponsor the 2nd Annual Red Wing Plein Air Art Festival from June 20 – 29th, 2008. In plein air painting, the artist paints outdoors and creates the picture from the outdoor setting. Artists will be located throughout the Red Wing area. During the festival, special painting and community events will be scheduled. The event will culminate on Sunday, June 29th with a reception, show and sale of the plein air artwork in the Depot gallery.

Sat - June 21 Summer Equinox
Gallery - Celebration of the start of summer
Sunrise - second balloon launch
Evening – final balloon launch – Artist in the Air
Sun – June 22 Back-up day for balloon launch
